Ice auger runs constantly now when control panel is plugged in. Do your think this is a failure of the control board or the micro switch for the ice lever praddle?
Answer Hi Rick. The micro switch closest to the paddle should be the one that actuates the auger motor. This switch is part # 241689101. You can remove the power, and remove one side of the switch wire. Isolate it and return the power. If the auger motor has stopped, it is a clue that the switch is bad (shorted). Part # 241689101. The fountain control boards are 2- pieces. The front part is the keypad switch assy part # 241700103, which sends the information (commands) to the power relay board part # 5304421827. If you unhook one at a time starting at the fountain, this will isolate the 2 to see if it is either a switch or the relay board. Thank You.
Ice dispenser only dispenses crushed ice. Light will change with pushing cube or crushed ice, but all we get is crushed ice regardless of which button is pushed and lit. Is our problem the control or power board?
Answer Hello Dave. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the solenoid assembly 241675701 and that it moves freely up and down. If there is power there and the solenoid does not move, you will need to replace the solenoid. If there is no power there, you will need to replace the control boards 5304421827 and 241700103. Make sure the solenoid moves freely before replacing the boards. No power and tight movement means you will need to replace the boards and the solenoid. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
