The water dispenser and ice dispenser intermittently work. Often, when I place a glass under the dispenser there will be a series of clicking noises coming from behind the dispenser and a quick succession of water bursts. Ultimately, the dispenser will stop working until I open the door, which sems to reset the operation. This will occur over and over again until I get it to "work". I often have to hold the freezer door open while depressing the nodule inside; this seems to be the best way to get water, but it is by no means successful all the time. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you in advance.

The water/Ice door dispenser appears to be shorting out. The display lights flash on and off every few seconds and neither the ice or water dispensing work. It also makes a clicking noise as the display lights flash. I have disconnected the wiring harness in the upper door hinge and it shuts off the power to dispenser. Does anyone know what the problem is? Is one of the circuit boards bad in the dispenser or elsewhere in the fridge? Is there a wiring harness that may be bad? Thanks in advance.

Latest Questions

I have a Frigidaire fridge I sent abroad where they use 220V elecricity. It's connected to a voltage converter/regulator (220v to 110v). The tech there said that the conveter broke so too much voltage got through to fridge which caused the fan wires to burn and the freezer to make too much ice(it has to be defrosted and cleaned every 2-3 days). Also he said the gate between the freezer(main cool source) and the other door got disabled so coolness doesn't get distributed to rest of the fridge. He said Main board which controls all censors got damaged/shocked when too much power got to it and needs to be replaced. My question, do you agree with his diagnosis and which specific board he needs so I can it buy it. Thank you!

We had a storm last night and when I got up this morning, our refrigerator was getting no power - the light doesn't even come on when I open the door. I checked the breakers and the pug and they are both fine. Any ideas?
