I was replacing the actuator of my Frigidaire side-by-side, as it broke. The ice dispenser was working fine. Since it is tricky to install the water hose back on, apparently it fell out of place, and water was coming out from the side. Now, that I fixed the hose issue, there is no longer any contact with the outside board (the one that is attached to the black cover). How can I test the board to see if it was damaged due to the water incident, or if the ribbon may be damaged? I don't want to order the part, when it may have been something simple to fix. Also, how can I install the water hose correctly next time? It is so rigid that it is difficult to handle with such little space.

I have a Frigidaire FSC23F7DSBA and the ice dispenser only dispenses crushed ice even when the cube button is green. What causes this and what needs to be replaced. Ice maker makes ice the way it's supposed to. I will no longer dispenses cube ice.

Latest Questions

My issue is identical to another customer. I replace the water actuator and afterwards the ribbon fell out of the control board. I put it back in and it runs the ice dispenser constantly. Additionally is the suppress the water actuator it only dispenser water randomly. In prior responses, the 'experts' replied to chance the power board. My question is why? How do I assess if it is the power board vs. the control board that needs replacing and why? I don't care to replace a $100+ piece if it is not needed. I'm sure one of them needs replacing since I checked all other systems including all the micro-switches. Thanks.

Hello, I recently replaced the water actuator of my Frigidaire Electrolux refrigerator (since it broke in half) and after reassembling the door panel and reconnecting the fridge, the water won't stop flowing. I checked the switch that the actuator activates and it doesn't seem to be stuck. However, the water won't stop flowing once I reconnect it, even when trying to switch off the switch manually. I contacted an agent at your site and they recommended to but the micro switch for the water and the ribbon. However, after receiving and installing them I am having the same problem...water won't stop flowing once I reconnect the fridge. Do you know what it could be? The water and ice dispenser were working fine before replacing the actuator. All I did was unscrew some screws, change the actuator and reassemble.

When I press the paddle for the ice the light comes on, there is a motor sound, but the part the moves the auger does not move. When I press the water paddle, the light comes on and it clicks but no water comes out. Is it possible that it's frozen back there?
