Dispenser lights flickered rapidly for approximately 10 seconds with attendant clicking noises, then went dead. No lights, no response to control inputs, no ice or water dispenses. Ice maker works properly, door switch meters correctly. I have 120vac at power board ( rd/blk and lt blu) pt #241708102, ribbon cable looks fine and control board pt# 241708306 emits a slight buzz when connected. How do I determine if it's the power or control board that's defective?

I just replaced the control board for the water/ice dispenser and when I connect the very thin connection, power runs through it and the light comes but also the water dispensing unit and doesn't shut off until I disconnect the thin cable. The cable leads look fine. What could it be?

Latest Questions

I had a recent power outage and now my Ice dispenser (Auger Motor) is always running, the only way to stop it, by opening freezer door that triggers door switch and disconnecting "dispenser Control Board" the Control board lights up perfectly. Based on similar issues I read on your website I might need to replace the Board-Power #AP3965513, Is this correct?

The water dispenser and ice dispenser intermittently work. Often, when I place a glass under the dispenser there will be a series of clicking noises coming from behind the dispenser and a quick succession of water bursts. Ultimately, the dispenser will stop working until I open the door, which sems to reset the operation. This will occur over and over again until I get it to "work". I often have to hold the freezer door open while depressing the nodule inside; this seems to be the best way to get water, but it is by no means successful all the time. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you in advance.
