the front right burner does not heat up. we replaced the element and it still does not work what other part could it be?

Answer MC, There are several components involved in the burner operation. Since you didn't mention any error codes in the display, your most likely issue is the elemet control switch 316239601KIT, The UIB and Relay board, usually produce an error code when there is an issue with them.

At one time the front right burner didnt want to turn on and started to flash F7. I changed the control unit. It started to work again. Now none of the burners want to work. I changed out 3 of the potentiometer since one was already changed. It then started to blink, ERR then F5 and now stuck on F7. Im at my wits end. What should I do? I thought it could of been the UIB.

Answer Hello Flower, If the F5 error code is remaining then you want to check the wire harness on the righthand user interface board 316239500 as viewed from the rear of the range. The harness on this board has 4 and 5 pin connectors. Disconnect harness from board and with multimeter set to dc volts measure between pins 1 and 2. If reading between 4 and 12 vdc then mother board is good and replaced User interface board. You can check your potentiometers which should have between 2 outside pins with 10 percent of potentiometer value. from center pin to outside pin should vary between 500 and 9500 ohms on black and 1000 and 19,000 ohms on the gray as shaft is turned. Potentiometer must be in on position when checking.

The right front small element only stays on when switch is turned off. I had to disconnect the burner to use range. What part should I try?

Answer Hi. The Rt. front burner switch control is part # 316239500. If the burner only stays on then the main control board burner relay may have stuck closed. Remove the power and the back cover. Remove the feed wire from the board at the RF-1 (P6) and the RF-2 (P4) terminal and test for 120 vac output on the terminal when the switch control is off. If so then you will need the main control board part # 316239403KITK. Thank You.

My front right burner (the large burner) will not "hold" a set temperature on the digital display - and in fact I get erratic heat in the element. If I try to set a cook temperature of 4.0 the digital display will constantly be jumping around from something like 3.0 up to 5.0. It is a rapid flashing of number settings - and heat to the element. What is at fault?

Answer Hello Peter, This sounds like a bad potentiometer 316239601KIT. If replacing this doesn't correct the issue, it has to be in the main control board 316207620. Be aware that the overlay does not come with this part so care should be used in removal of the old overlay so it can be reused.

We bought this oven used. The surface burners function fine, but when I reset the clock and wake up in the morning, the clock was stopped on a time, and none of the pad buttons work. The burners still work fine. I turn the breaker off and on and it comes back for hours. When it chooses it "freezes" the clock and pad again. Perhaps it's the computer part of the keypad, or maybe something less expensive? I have tried bake and broil and they do work. Also, is there a way to check and see if this stove was fixed for the recall that was on this oven? THANK YOU!

Answer Hello Cindy, Sounds like the control 316207620 is failing. If you have to replace it, you may need to replace the overlay 316243301 if it doesn't come off good. Try when you remove it to use a knife blade or similar object to work the adhesive loose because if you try to just pull it off it will crease it and essentially destroy it. Also, before you replace anything, discontinue power to the unit for at least 10 minutes to see if the control will reset to factory default. You can check with Frigidaire to see if any rework parts were ever sent out for your serial number.

The small inside burner of the dual right front burner is "ON" all the time. we replaced the rheosatat to no avail. Per your advise we replaced AP2126658. This had the same result. What is the next step and can I return the part AP2126658? Thanks.

Answer Hello Joe. Yes, you can return the part. I will have a customer service agent contact you today. However, you will need to test and see if the element 316418400 is shorted out, or if the switch 316239601KIT is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
