Need to know how to install dish washer lower gasket part number 154576501 ?
Tr
Answer Hi Tr. You will open the door and remove the lower rack. Then you can clip this seal on the bottom/inside of the inner door. Part #154576501.Note: If you continue to get water splashing at the bottom corners of the inner door after replacing this seal it is suggested to replace splash shield kit 154701001. Thank You.
I had new floors installed and they started Buckling. When we pulled the dishwasher out of the cabinet it was in we found it was leaking from a cracked nut gasket and from the bottom of the door. I need help fixing these issues,It's caused a lot of damage. It sounds like this is a very bad design.

Answer Hello Maurya. The seal 154576501 can only be put into the door one way. It has a notch cut into it which fits over a plastic lip that exists only on one side of the seal slot in the door. Bottom of door is made to leak water around this bottom door seal, that's why the middle of this seal is cut out, to allow the water back into the main dishwasher tub. But, common problem is it allows too high a velocity of flow to come through and to splash out within the front door cover and down onto the floor. This must be why they made the "splash guard" kit 154701001. Make sure the seal is touching the bottom of the tub assembly. To install the brass nut, you will remove the wire and the old nut from the heater and screw the nut nut onto the heater and reinstall the wire. Hope this helps.
