My oven won't turn off. The dial turn off, but the fan still blows and is keeping the temperature between 225-250 degrees. Already Tried:
Turning it on/off. Tried reheating and then turning off. I have to flip the breaker off to turn off/on the oven. The only error code is PF when turn on breaker.
Answer Hi Lynn. Remove the power. Remove the door (lighter to pull out the unit). Remove the back cover and see if the broil and /or bake element is shorted to ground. If one of them are , then it is possible that it can be used in the off position. Then remove the top knobs. Lift up on the console fascia and fold it back while laying a towel down to protect its face. remove the center upper screws and lower center screws to lift the inner support with the clock up as you access the back clock relays for a voltage check. Isolate all connections from shorting and safety. At the back of the clock take a voltage check to see if either the broil or the bake relay is shorted staying on while the command is off. The clock is part # 316272204. The broil element part # 318255605. The bake element part # 318255006. They should ohm out to 11-18 ohms. Check the terminal block for any discrepancies are found there, also/Make sure all connections are tight. Use the wiring diagram to assist. that is in the drawer area or in the back. Thank You.
