I have a digital Kenmore oven the oven want come on the readout on the front doesn't show any numbers liken their is no power. The stove eyes will come on and the lights work. The digital part is blank.

Answer Hello D. White. If there is poer to the unit, and it does not light up, you will need to order and replace the oven control board on the unit.

How do you install this part?

Answer Hello Marty. Disconnect the power. You will remove the back panel off the control panel. Then access the board 316207522 and remove the screws securing the board to the panel. Next install the overlay onto the new board and install the wires from the old board to the proper location on the new board. Install the new board into the unit.

Periodically the stove will lose power when there has been no power interruption in the house. Sometimes the the power will be off for a minute or so, then the clock will start flashing. If the elements on the stovetop are in use they will stay on, but the oven stops heating. After a short period of time the unit appears to reset all by its self. The power supply (voltage to receptacle), cord, and terminal block are all in excellent condition. Do you advise replacing circuit board/timer on range? Thanks, Ron

Answer Hello Margie, You will want to do a voltage check from bake to L1 and broil to L1 on the control board to determine if it is bad. If there is not 240vac then the clock is bad and needs to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. My Frigidaire electric range quit working all together. When you try to turn on the cook top you hear a buzzing noise from the clock area. The oven will not turn on at all. Should I replace the EOC?

Answer Hello John. Make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit. IUf so, and the buzzing is from the clock, replace the clock 316207522.

I think I need to replace the clock/timer electronic control, but would like your opinion before I spend over $165.00. Thank you.

Answer Hello Wrngwae1, Before you replace anything you should check the electrical connections where the "pigtail" (range cord) connects to the terminal block. This is where most problems with a complaint of both the surface and the bake compartment originate. If it is good, check the plug for burned spots on the prongs. If there is a burned spot, you can sand the burn off but the receptacle will require replacement to prevent a fire hazard. Let us know if we can assist you further as I'm confident you will locate the issue. Anytime there is an audible sizzle, the problem can be seen and testing isn't necessary.
