Answer Hello Doris. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced on the unit. If there is power to the control board and it does not come on, it is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I pushed the "bake" button to preheat the oven, about 1 minute into it preheating I hear a pop and see a flash come from control board. I took control board off and see a big spot of black spark residue on board. I'm assuming the board is toast. My question is, is something that is common? I want to purchase another board and put back in. Any way the problem could have stemmed from somewhere else in the oven? Or if I purchase a new control board will that be the fix to my problem? Thanks in advance for answer!

Answer Jason, The new control board should correct the problem. Could have been a stuck relay that caused board to fail.

Frigidaire FEFB68CSD Oven Control Board Part # 316207511 I need this part in White all of the replacements look to be black. I have a wife if I slap a black control board on this thing she will have to have a new range. I don't think the cover will come off the old control board so I'm hoping it comes with asorted color covers or can be ordered in white.

Its time to cook and I turn oven on pre heat light comes on oven remains cold. Switched to broiler hi light indicat its on but remains cold. Turned oven on, and it was heating then heard a loud pop noise, the control panel was going crazy beeping with F1 flashing.
