Stove top works, oven and boiler and self cleaning will not work, think it could be the controller?
Answer Hello Tom. If all the wiring is good, then you will need to check the control board and see if it is sending power as it should. If not, replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
just got oven replacement unit from you..installed it...it works....however when in bake or broil mode, will not shut off with clear button.....clock was set....not in clean or lock mode...top burners all work ok...is ocb bad....have to unplug to get oven or broil to shut off.....
Answer Harrison, It's not likely to have a faulty new part, but it is possible. First check and ensure you have wired the new control properly, especially the L1,L2,BK and BR terminals. if all's correct, then the new control may have an issue in the "clear" circuit of the control or an issue with the actuator tab not making contact with the contact point on the internal board.
