Answer Hello Lynn. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the bake element 316415900 may have burnt out on the unit and will need to be replaced.

Answer Hello James, The first thing I would check for is a pinched wiring harness. If this isn't the case, I would test the electrical control for the surface element that is giving the problem. With an ohm meter, test from terminal 2a to terminal 1a. If this shows any continuity at all with the switch in the off position, change the electrical control. If it reads infinite, change the surface unit control board 316442101. If you require any more assistance, I would greatly appreciate knowing which burner we are referring to so I can make wire color references and give accurate part numbers.

Answer Hello Scott. Test the oven sensor and make sure it reads around 1100 ohms at room temperature. With the burning smell, it sounds like the clock 316418700 is the issue, but the sensor needs to be tested as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello Tim. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the open pins shorted the relays on the control board and the control board 316418700 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
