Stove top burner comes on HIGH without being tuned on and buzzer on stove comes on.
Answer Hello James,
The first thing I would check for is a pinched wiring harness. If this isn't the case, I would test the electrical control for the surface element that is giving the problem. With an ohm meter, test from terminal 2a to terminal 1a. If this shows any continuity at all with the switch in the off position, change the electrical control. If it reads infinite, change the surface unit control board 316442101.
If you require any more assistance, I would greatly appreciate knowing which burner we are referring to so I can make wire color references and give accurate part numbers.
I had nothing working except warming drawer, soldered open relay pin on clock timer board, now I have all cooktop burners, no oven bake or broil. Any thoughts?
Answer Hello Tim. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the open pins shorted the relays on the control board and the control board 316418700 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
