Is it necessary to use the water compression valve in the installation of the water line to the icemaker inlet valve?

Answer Hello Jean, if your current valve uses the old style coupler which requires a nut and compression ring. You will need to use the compression ring as this is what would hold the tube in place and not allow it to leak. Thanks!
