My stand alone refrigerator does not cool anymore. Every thing seems to be working, fans kick off and on. A thermometer placed inside reads no higher than 45 degrees, but mostly stays at 51. What may be the problem?

My freezer is down around zero and won't kick off. I put new theremstat and did not help. Is there anyway to clean condenser or airway? Thanks.

Answer Hello George. You will need to check and make sure the cap tube for the thermostat 216715200 is in the correct location. To clean the condenser 5300083897, you will pull the unit out and clean the coils on the back of the freezer. Make sure the freezer has room to get air behind it. Also, check the door seal 216522309 and make sure it is sealing properly and not causing the freezer to stay on. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Neal. The condenser 5300083897 for the model number you provided is on the back of the refrigerator. The line goes into the freezer section. You will remove the back wall inside the freezer to access the line. The other line goes into the compressor. Hope this helps.

My freezer quit freezing. Food in the freezer would freeze and thaw. Some of the food stays frozen, like solid roasts, but berries or corn just will not freeze and the freezer is on the coldest temperature. There is even a burn't mark on the inside bottom of the freezer, not sure what caused that. Could this be the thermostat being bad? Please Help

Answer Hello Steve. Check and see if there is a frost build up on the back wall. If so, you have a defrost problem. You will need to test the heater 216730700 and thermostat 297216600 and make sure they are reading closed for continuity when cold. If they test good, you will need to replace the defrost timer 297318010. If there is no frost, make sure the fan motor inside the freezer is running properly. You can test the heater and thermostat with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
