My dryer began random beeping a few week's ago but continued to dry clothes fine until a few day's ago. Now, it beeps but won't start. From the posts I've read here it appears that I may need a new control board or thermistor. I'd prefer to only take the dryer apart only one time so I'm wondering if I should just replace both parts since the thermistor is inexpensive.

I just ordered a new control board for my Kenmore dryer model number 417.84052500. I was wondering if you had the instructions on how to take apart the dryer and install that part?

I was told by a tech I needed a new control board. I installed a new board, and my dryer still will not heat. I have checked the thermostats and heating element for continuity, all checked out fine. The tech told me he was able to by pass the control board and got the dryer to heat. Anything else I can try, or did I get a bad board? Thank you

I have checked everything that has continuity and they all show to be fine. I even checked the door switch. Continuity when closed but not when open. The thermistor doesn't show continuity but does show 48.5 ohms across the terminals which is within parameters. When the start button is pushed the control panel clicks twice then beeps and will not do anything at all. The errors I'm getting I cannot understand. The lights blink 9 times then 14 times for the most recent error. The next error is an E5A. Then it's the 9 times then 14 times again. Please help.
