My bake element will not shut off. I think I need a new oven control board but I can't say for sure. Is there a way to test to see if that is the problem? I have a multimeter. I measured resistance from both the bake and broil terminals to ground (with power off) and they both indicate infinite resistance.

Answer Dale, With the oven bake element staying on you will need to replace the control board as the bake relay is stuck closed.

power outage digital display will not work, it was fine before power outage, tried the breaker off 10 min still won't work, stove top does work.

Answer Mitch, You will want to test the control board to make sure that you are getting 120 vac from L1 to neutral. If there is 120 vac then your control board 316207527 is faulty and would need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. The power completely went out on my stove while using the oven. This has been a recurrent issue over the past 3-4 years. In the past, I have been able to reset the oven and return power to the unit by turning one of the stovetop element knobs. There has been no consistency to when this occurs. It will go months without doing this. This time when I turn the knob it makes a buzzing sound, power returns, and then the power to the entire unit goes back out when I turn the knob back off. I assume it is the control unit but want to be sure before buying the part. The display is not flashing any code. Only the time (12:00). I have unplugged the unit for 10 minutes. Any other thoughts before I buy the EOC?

Answer Hello Mac, You may want to check to make sure that you do not have a wire that is shorting to ground. Normally when a control unit goes out you would not be able to turn a knob to get to work. Check you L1 circuit as it feeds the control unit and make sure that there are no broken or loose wires. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Our gas burners and oven light work, however the display for the clock and oven controls will not display and we can not turn the oven on. We had a new household item added in the house that was tied into the same circuit breaker as the oven. Could this have caused the control panel to go out? Did it get fried?
