My freezer stopped working. The temp alarm went off and control unit on door read high temperature. Nothing worked except the interior light. I bought a new Electronic control assy. from you and plugged it in. Immediately everything started working again, but freezer does not turn off, just keeps getting colder and colder. The door elect. control reads 88 - 92 degrees and the high temp light is always on. What's still wrong? Thx, Ed

Answer Edward, First check and make sure the interior light is going off, when the door is closed, and the door is sealing. Recheck the connections on the new control assembly. If all's OK, you'll need to check or replace the thermistor 297018400 located on the back wall of the freezer, behind the evaporator cover.

Answer Hello Bill. You will start at the top left corner and unsnap the control 297366300 from the unit. You can use a butter knife to remove the control. It should not break anything. It has three tabs across the top and the bottom.

After left door open couple of hours, ajar door alarm keeps coming back and couldn't turned off using control panel. Only way to reset ajar door light is reset power cycle but it'll coming after few minutes. Is it something to do with defected control panel to be replaced ? or is there any door ajar switch attaced on freezer door ? Thank you for reading.

Answer Hi Kenny.Door Alarm= Whenever the door is left open, the red Door Ajar LED will illuminate. If the door is left open for longer than 5 minutes, the audible alarm sounds. The display will not change. Close the door or press the Alarm Reset key to turn the audible alarm off. The Door Ajar LED remains on until the door is closed. When the door is closed, the Door Ajar alarm time period is reset. If the thermistor(Cavity temperature sensor) is bad it will show E8 or E9 code. If the E7 code will be a fail safe code meaning the stuck keypad. In your case you need to replace the control board assy. part # 297366300. Thank you.The control assembly unsnaps out of the door. You can use a flat blade putty or butter knife to unsnap the unit out of the door. The disconnect the wires and connect them to the new board and snap it into place. Thank You.

My queston is this my grandson messed with the control panel. I tryed to get it back the way it was but I made it worse. Mine has a flashing -10 but keeps going back to 34 f. I cant get it to stay on -10 thats where it was before. I dont have a clue how to fix this? Help please....

Answer Hi Larry. Is the child lock on? Try pressing it in for 3-seconds to unlock it. The user guide will tell you also. You do not need it colder then -2 -or- 0°. If you cannot unlock it, you will need to replace it. Part # 297366300. Thank You.
