My door ajar alarm keeps going off. I reset it and it starts again in 5 minutes. The indoor light would also not come on. I have replaced the door switch and the front electronic panel. Now the light comes on but it will not go off and the alarm is beeping again. What else could be causing this?

I have a couple problems and think they might be related to what is broken. I think it's the control board. 1) My upright freezer seems run almost all the time, only shuts down a couple of times a day. I have place two thermometers inside to monitor temp because I think there is an issue with my control board. First I set the temp to 8 degrees, the freezer keeps a temp of 0 degrees most of the time, but some times it can go as high as 10 degrees, what gives? Setting the temp to 0 degrees and I get -5. 2) Sometimes when I open the freezer door, the compressor stops running immediately. To me it's seems the the action of opening the door shook something that was stuck on the control board that is mounted to the door and finally allowed the compressor to shut off, because the inside temp is well below the 8 degrees temp I set. Is something wrong or is this normal?? 3) Also the temp display on the front only seems to display the set temperature and not the temperature inside the freezer, but I remember when I first plugged it in, it use to give the inside temp. Is that right?? I want to know the inside temp to be displayed, not the set temp.

I have an upright Frigidaire freezer and the high temperature is reading 80°. The outside temperature is now 50° and it has been doing this since the temperature was 20°. The freezer will not shut down since it is reading this high. I have tested the thermostat (replaced it anyway) and defrost heater both checked out good. The freezer is set to 10° above and will keep running bringing the inside temperature to -10° to -20°. Thank You

The door was left open all night and since then it won't go below 21 deg. It was working fine till then. It was at 0 deg. I unplugged the freezer and plugged it back in but it's still not working. The top line on the evaporator freezes, the one where the defrost thermostat is. I checked the heater element and it was 24 ohms. I replaced the defrost thermostat but to no avail. I thought possibly of a leak since only part of the evaporator freezes but it gets to the lower 20's relatively fast. Also twice now it read 0 deg on the display but when I opened the door it went back to 31 deg real quick and a hi temp light came on. I did read in an earlier post of someone that had a similar problem and the tech said it was possibly the controller board. I am just trying to make absolute sure so I know which direction to go. I have also thought about the thermistor. Could this be the problem? I appreciate any assistance and thank you for your time. Jeff
