I just got this freezer. It worked, but I had to replace the door switch. Everything seemed fine. I let it run overnight and the next morning I was experimenting with the buttons on the control unit. It was in the extreme freeze mode and I adjusted the temperature control up and down. Suddenly, the display showed "OF". Now the only thing on the control panel that seems to be operative is the lock and unlock feature. I checked the internet to see how to turn it back on and it did not work. Even with the panel in the unlock mode no other buttons are responding to touch.

After a power outage when the power comes back on, the freezer will not start and the control panel will be completely dark. This will continue for as long as the freezer is plugged in. After unplugging the freezer for about one hour and plugging it back in then the freezer will just start and run fine as if nothing happened. It is like a reset but is it normal to have to unplug and wait? I contacted Frigidaire and they said it is normal! Shouldn't the freezer restart after the power comes back on without having to unplug it and wait first? So is the control panel simply defective?

Getting power to freezer. Control board lights up. Lights inside work but no power to compressor or fan motor.
