I guess my question is how to pull the probe out of the freezer in order to install the new one, not the switch. Please help. Thanks
Answer Hi Jauming. Remove power. Remove the knob. Remove the mount screws. Remove the bottom shelves and the screws that hold the evaporator coil cover in place. Unclasp the green ground wire from the panel. Then unclasp the sensor from the top holders and carefully pull out from the top side of the control. Then thread (push) the new one from the top in the channel to the bottom and make sure you completely straighten the thermostat bulb . Remove all kinks. There is another tube inside the complete length that has to move up and down to give the correct temperature sensing capabilities. If you have to bend or circle the thermostat, then you do it a carefully as possible. Use the white tube that covers the old one on the new one all the way except at the top clip areas above the coils. Thank You.
Re. temperature control - AP2113522, How to replace the temperature probe attached to the controller? Do I need a special parts to "pull" it or "unscrew" it? Thanks
Answer Hi Jauming. The probe is attached all as one part with the temperature control by design. This is a manual thermostat control and there is a inner probe along with the total length that controls a diaprahm and contacts in the switch body. It is a very cheap part. Part # 216532100.Thank You.
