Answer Scott, A compressor either runs or doesn't run, There's no "half way". Since your unit is a manual defrost system, there's no issue there. So, a quick easy check for cooling is to feel the cabinet sides, they should be warm to the touch, this is where the condenser is located, and the heat transfer from the refrigerant occurs through the cabinet. Check and make sure the lid is closed, and sealed when down, and the control is turned to the proper setting, It can take quite a few hours to cool down, after a defrost cycle. Thanks
