My H2O filter is always freezing (but not the products inside of the refrigerator side) I have replaced the filter. The inside temp is 45+degrees. I have to thaw the filter out before the water will run again from the H2O supply in the door. It usually freezes overnight when not being used I guess. The air blows straight at the filter from the freezer vent. Tried to put something in the way, to make the air flow go around. Does not help.I was going to try a new cup and O ring, but your site says the cup is not compatible with my model although FRS3R5EMBO is. Do you think this will cure it? Or will I waste $21? Will the cup work on my model, the only difference is the 0.? Regards Celia

Answer Hello Celia, The water filter cup would have nothing to do with the filter freezing. You would want to look at the Damper 241600902 and thermostat 241586503. It sounds like the damper is staying open too long or it is stuck open and not closing. If it is staying open too long then it would be a thermostat issue that would be causing issue and if stuck open then the damper is at fault.

Every time we push the water on the outside of the door, water leaks out of the top of the filter cup inside the fridge. What could be causing this?

Answer Hello Dean! Check the filter cup to make sure that filter cup 240434401 has not developed a leak. Also check the O-ring 218904301 inside the filter cup. If you have not changed the filter WF1CB in a while you may also try that. Hope this information helps!
