Damper Assembly defective and removed for replacement. Digital Display for refrigerator was blinking on 4 as is correct when damper removed. Can a defective damper effect the temperature operation of both sides freezer and refrigerator? About same time the freezer and refrigerator would not get cold. Took panels off from rear of freezer and coils and fan looked good, but coils were not cycling back on to cold after defrost cycle ran, unless I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged back in after waiting 5-10 minutes. Unit is 7 years old. Could problem be in the control board located in the refrigerator side?
