Hi, it's me again :-) OK, fan motor is running and running just fine. Frost all up and down the back. Took the back cover off again...sure enough....coils iced over...even the vents down at the bottom has chunks of frost. Of course unplugged all, took hair dryer to the coils to de-ice them (keeping dryer at a distance). Put everything back together...freezer working properly and now have cool air flow to the fridge side. Sounds like a problem now with the defrost cycle...correct? If so, which part(s) are recommended? Thanks!

Thank you so much for the quick response! OK, so looked at the damper...and it is wide open...assuming that is because it is warm in the fridge. When I open the freezer...I think I hear the freezer fan running. I know I hear the compressor fan at the bottom. There is visible frost along the back. When I took the back off before...the coils looked fine, but I dont believe I checked the fan. Should I remove the back again and check to see if the fan (evaporator fan, correct?) is running properly? Additionally, what else can I check? If the evaporator fan is not working properly do you all sell the evaporator fan motor/fan assembly? If defrost cycle issue...what part is typically the culprit. Thankfully the freezer side is working and food hasnt spoiled...this is my fridge in the garage. Thanks so much for your help!

Frigidaire side by side...FRS26KR4JW0 Freezer side fine...cleaned coils, fans working properly. Fridge side not getting cool. What is easiest test to see if damper is working properly? Do I keep freezer door closed...then open fridge door, but depress the door control with my hand/foot and check for air flow? If no air flow, bad damper? While investigating I did take off the housing and noticed the coil on the damper wasnt wound tight and almost appear stuck wide open. Doesnt it need 2 way flow to work properly? Thanks!
