Answer Hello P. J. You may want to check to make sure that the pin is in place properly. Also check the gears on ice dispenser lever to make sure that they are not broken. If they are broken then they will hang up causing door to not close properly.

Answer Ray, A couple of things first. Have you recently replaced the water filter WF2CB ? Or had any plumbing work performed. You may have air in the sytem, causing the "sputterring", you could try running the water dispenser until the sputterring stops(3 qts.to 1 gal.) if that's the case.You can also check the crisper drawers and water reservoir, and make sure neither are freezing. Answer Hello Jan. Remove the water line from the bottom of the door and press the dispenser to see if any water comes out. If so, the water line in the freezer door is frozen and will need to be thawed out. If there is no water, and the filter is good, you will need to replace the water valve 242252702 on the unit.

Answer Hello Irene. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the diode 5303918287 is bad and will need to be replaced. It is located inside the wiring harness going to the water valve. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Jeff. If you have replaced the filter, you will need to run about 2 gallons of water through the door to clear the air from the water lines. If you have not replaced the filter, you may have a leaking water valve and will need to replace the water valve 242252702. Hope this helps.
