How do I check to see if the timer- defrost (part # AP2113785) or the defrost heater (part # AP2113030) are faulty. Continuity check? Multi-meter readings? Your help is appreciated.
Answer Hello Michael. You will test the heater 216254600 for continuity. It should read closed. If it is good, turn the timer 297318010 to defrost and test and see if there is power coming from the timer to the defroat heater. If so, the timer is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
What holds the evap.coil heater in place and if there is a picture showing how it is installed?
Answer Hello Trevor. It is held on with straps 5308000110. Sorry, there are no pictures of it installed. Hope this helps.
