Answer Hello Jane, These are probably Torx bits. The most common sizes on appliances are T10, T15, and T20. If I'm not mistaken, the T15 should fit the door lock assembly screws.

As long the strike is hitting correctly, and the current door lock assembly isn't over tightened, the door lock assembly will take care of this. If the door isn't striking correctly, the door hinge 134264600 should be replaced.

Answer Hi Ray. Look at the door latch hook part # 131279001 carefully at the ends for wearing out or broken tabs that does not allow the proper lock application with the new lock part # 131763202. This door latch hook color has changed from white to black, so there may be some strengh significance to that. It is a cheap part. There also has been issues with the door hinge assy. part # 131688300 being sloppy not allowing the door to stay locked. Make sure the wire connections are all clean and tight. Properly lock the level legs after the unit is leveled from to back and side to side. If the level leg pads are worn out and not gripping the floor will cause unbalanced issues and keep the door from locked position. Most of the time it ends up being a bad lock. Thank You.

Answer Hello Bernard. Based on the model number you provided, the latch 131279001 is the correct latch for the lock assembly 131763202. The lock does have 2 openings and the latch goes into both of the openings. If yours only uses one, you can remove the other from the latch, but make sure you leave the one that locks inside the lock assembly of your washer and it should be the large post.
