My fridgidaire side by side is not staying cold anymore on either side. It was holding at first but now it is 46 in freezer and not making ice. Fridge is warmer. Had fan replaced next to condenser last year and vacuumed around coils. Still seems wobbly. Louder than usual more recent I think. Evaporator has ice/frost build up top 3 inches only. Seems the rest is always defrosted. Replaced thermostat which tests good as does the heater element. Where to go next to replace any small parts that might be it. Capacitor, defrost heater, defrost timer, defrost sensor with fuse??? I'm lost and low on dough and testing abilities. Which parts would you start with in which order? Unless easily tested or replaced. Thanks. Too tired to try much more. Any help appreciated. Going in circles. Hope its not freon or condensor.

The return line on the compressor frosts over every time it turns on and when its shuts off the frost thaws and drips water on the floor. Any idea what could be the problem?

The ice in the machine tastes horrible. I can trace the line to the basement where it's going in and I pulled the fridge thinking maybe it has a filter? I don't see one anywhere. I guess this is the optional ice maker for the top freezer. How can I resolve this terrible smelling and tasting water. My faucet water in an ice cube tray would taste better. It really smells bad, thanks!

Water tastes like crap. Is there a filter and how do I replace it on this model? It seems as though the previous owners did nothing. Ice is cloudy too.
