I can get water from the dispenser, but no ice at all. It just hums. I don't think it's doing anything at all but humming. It makes the ice, but won't dispense it.

Answer Hello Larry,
Try this: Remove the ice bin from the freezer compartment. Using a hair dryer, heat the auger motor yoke for ten to fifteen minutes. This usually will thaw the frost off of the motor assembly and restore normal operation.
Now to prevent a repeat failure, set the freezer to one setting warmer. You see, what causes this failure is evaporation and condensation. When the unit is closed and running, if the freezer goes below 0°F, the water that goes into the ice maker, (which is room temperature), will have steam come up off of it, (evaporation). Then the moisture condenses on the coldest material it can, (the steel of the auger motor). As soon as the moisture condenses, it freezes. This freezes the motor up where it cannot turn. As long as the freezer is warmed up a setting, this will cure the issue for good. You may want to check the ice door as I have found it to be a source of room temperature humid air. Check it with a flashlight from the outside while you look in the ice chute. If you see light, it isn't sealing.

Hi, you partially answered this question. I have the same problem, the auger spins, but the drum and blade does not. What replacement parts do I need to purchase? Thanks, DC Question: I have the same issue as Robert. The auger turns but no ice. The flapper is opening but the drum and the drive blade are not spinning w/ the auger. Is there a washer or nut that should attached to make the drum and drive blade spin w/ the auger? Asked by Prw for Model Kenmore 25359683991
Answer: PRW, Yes, the drive blade AP3959143 has a rectangular opening, the auger shaft has a flat spot for the blade to fit on, The clear plastic drum has cut outs on the backside to slip the drum on and secure the drum to the blade. and both components will turn with the shaft. Good Luck

Answer DC and Robert, No there is no bolt or nut securing the drum and balde to the auger shaft. You will need to dismantle the front of the ice dispenser bin, check the shaft and blade spacers for excess wear, and replace the drum and blade 241685103 241684501 and the blade has to fit tightly into the slots of the drum when you reconstruct the shaft assembly. Thanks and Good Luck
