Why does my alarm keep beeping, my controller is on the door. I beleive it's cold enough.
Answer There are a couple of "basic" checks to make first. Make sure the door closes and seals properly, the door light switch and light operate properly, and check for a proper temperature. If the interior temperature increases to 23 dgrs. or more for an extended period, then the alarm will sound. If all checks are OK, then replace the control 216979600.
My freezer is too cold. The outside electronic temperature blinks -1° to 0°F. The appliance thermometer from the store reads -10°F. What needs to be done to correct the problem?
Answer Hello Jene,
The logical part to change out first is the thermistor 297018400 since it is the temperature probe that sends the information to the electronic control. When it is installed, it is recommended to use a lubricant to seal moisture out of the splice area. If the thermistor doesn't correct the issue, the electronic control 216944300 will require replacement to return normal operation.
