Hi. I am looking to replace burners on two stoves, one frigidaire and one whirlpool. I found the one above for my FEF316WGSD but wonder if it will work on my whirlpool above since the one listed for it is WAY more expensive. Thanks so much for any insight you can provide.

To determine the size of the surface element you need, do you measure from the edge of the element to the back of the prongs, or do you measure across the element. When I measured from the edge to the back of the prongs on the bigger elment the measurement was 10 inches and the smaller element was 8 inches. Can you help me get the right size surface element for my electric stove?
