This is a 4-5 year old Frigidaire Pro series side by side. A few months ago we heard noises from the back of the freezer compartment and then got an evaporator fan code on the display. A repairman checked it out and replaced the fan. This worked fine for about 30 days, then it died again. They checked it out and decided to replace the control board, figuring this was the only other option. This again lasted for about 30 days, then the noise started, and it died with the evaporator fan code again. The bottom of the freezer is cold enough to lightly freeze food, and the rest of the freezer is cool. The repair company doesn't know what else to try, and has offered to remove the parts and refund our money. They suggest buying a new unit but I hate to give up on such a new refrigerator, especially since we have a height issue as the newer units are slightly taller and I would have to raise the cabinet. Thank you for your help.

I have a lift chair with a massage. The motor for the massage (Model # RM12-S-36) isn't working. Do you know where I might get that part? Thanks

Our refg. recently started squealing and clicking from the backside of the freezing unit. There was a frost build up in that area also. Freezer was cooling but refg. stopped cooling so I replaced evaporator fan motor. That seemed to work but now there's a slightly bigger frost build up on the back side of the freezer and the refg. isn't cooling as well even though the setting is on "coldest". Could a Freon leak be causing this?

There is 115 V AC to the fan motor but does not spin. Turns easy by hand and free spins but not by electric. Cannot find a replacement cross ref. Can you please help. Original part is by BREVEL with number C289450, 115 V-60 mHz. Thanks, Bob

Before browsing your parts , i knew i needed a new evap fan. Located 2 diff parts that look identicle (can't make out no. S on old unit) . On your site, 1 of them costs $70 (218878801) the other $30 (5300158289) the appliance is over 10 years old but my question is why don't the fans cross reference ? They appear to have the same size & harness. Is there some massive difference "rpm wise " or other function/cycling ? We are talking two to three times the price (on some other sites) Is there any "realistic justification" to something so "seemingly" small & simply, being proprietary with no alternative solution. I mean , they call them "knock off" parts in the auto industry when they're not made by the manufacturer, but if they viably interchangeable - it's a solution of economic priority.

Hey Nick, Great info from what I've seen so far. This forum is a valuable resource. I have a similar prob: no fan circulation, good freezer temp. and refrig. temp. higher than normal. Compressor seems to be ok but "laboring" sound. I've seen some freezing on the white tubing (~5/8" o.d) that runs down the outside of the back. Looks like I need to gut my freezer, remove the back panel, and take a look to make sure that the fan blade isn't iced up & stalling the fan motor. I can also check the wiring to the motor with my VOM to make sure that it's gettng power. Just to confirm, does this need to take place from the inside back wall of the freezer or can I access the motor from the outside back panel?
