I changed a noisy evaporator motor, now the fridge isn't running at all. Can that be from the motor being installed correctly, or should the rest of the fridge still work such as condensor fan etc? Teh light is on in the fridge so it does have power.

I am hearing a noise coming for the freezer part of my refrigerator. It's making a somewhat grinding sound at regular intervals but not constant. It almost sounds like a coffee pot brewing. Does this sound like the evaporator motor?

After replacing the starter a few months ago my frig was working amazing. Then about a week ago the lower compartment began to get warmer and warmer until it was hot. The upper part or freezer was still ice cold.. I noticed some ice on the back wall of freezer so I took the back panel off and the coils were completely froze up. I let everything thaw out plugged it back in and shazam.. nice cold beer. Is there a switch or something I need to replace so the freezer will not "freeze" up again.. the freezer control knob is set to cold and the frig knob is on normal. Thanks in advance, Rob
