How do I reinstall the gasket on this cooktop?

Answer Hello Christi,
Dis-continue power to the unit and loosen the "lock screws", (mounting screws). Turn off the gas supply to the unit and insure there is enough slack in the gas line to lift the unit. Lift the unit from the counter top and set it diagonally over the opening in the counter top. Affix the new seal to the bottom of the cook top and set it back into the opening. Turn the gas back on and check for leaks before plugging unit back into the ac power supply. Always check for gas leaks with lightly soaped water, (never with an open flame). Lightly soaped water is defined as 1 teaspoon of liquid soap to 1 quart of water as per the manufacturer. If no leaks are detected, plug unit back into ac power supply.
