How hard is it to replace the freezer door gasket on a White (White consolidated industeries) freezer ? Are any special tools needed to remove the old gasket or install the new one? Are there any "tricks" to know that might help?
Answer Hi Tom. Draw a hot bath to relax the gasket unfolded as you prepare to remove the origonal. Remove all food in the bins. behind the gasket are 1/4" screws that need to be removed. Some have a metal flat bar along with the screws that need to be re used. Start at the top and remove the top half of the gasket and let it hang down. Dry the new gasket with a towel and install the top half. Then install the bottom half. Use a putty knife and a hair drier to relax the gasket after installed. Gasket part # 3206256. Thank You.
