My dryer is blowing cool air only. How do I determine if I need a Heating element housing kit or a Thermostat? Thank you
Answer Hello Todd,
Start by making sure there is 240Vac supplied to the machine. The only part of the unit that is 240Vac is the heating element, so if 120Vac is supplied to the correct side, it will run and not heat. If voltage is to the terminal block, you will need to use the tech sheet to determine the cause of your issue. The unit will give a fault code indicating the circuits that should be checked for an issue. Basically it will be one of the following components: Heater relay on the main control 137070840, the high limit thermostat 3204267, the thermal limiter 137032600, the heater 137114000, or the centrifugal switch in the motor 137115900.
What all comes with the heater? I mean is it just the tube with the elements or do both limiters come with it also?
Answer Hello David! The heater 137114000 only comes equipped with the heater element and housing, the thermostats are not included. Thanks.
