My dryer runs but does not heat-up and dry the cloths. Is this a repair I can do on my own. Thank you. WD
Wd for Model Number Frigidare dryer
Answer Hello WD. Yes, Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My dryer made a terrible noise and got hot. Took it apart and found several heater housing clips made of ceramic. How many clips come in 51? and how do you replace them?

Answer Edith, The insulator(s) 131472100 are sold as, one(1) per package. Most people replace the damaged, broken insulator(s) as needed. They are a "twist" fit. insert the insulator into the slot, and slowly, carefully twist the new insulator to a 90 dgr. angle from the slot. You may want to remove the complete heater elemment housing(4 screws) it may help you out. Thanks and Good Luck.
