I get water through the door but no water goes into the icemaker. The icemaker goes through the complete cycle like it is ejecting ice but no ice. I can add water and it freezes and ejects like it should. I just changed the filter before this started happening, if that may have something to do with the problem. I'm reading it could be valve problem. Any help on where the problem might be?
Answer Hello Jeff,
Pull icemaker out and check the fill tube to ensure that it is not clogged with ice. If you did not purge the water line after changing filter it could have caused air to be in line and cause slow dripping that would have caused icemaker fill tube to get clogged. If the fill tube is not clogged then you would want to check your water valve for 120vac when the icemaker calls for water. If you are not getting 120vac then you have a problem with icemaker 5303918277 or wiring. If you do have 120 vac then you have a bad valve 218832401 and it would need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
