Makes ice ok but ice lays on top of ice maker. I have to push it off in to the tray, then it will make moor ice.
Answer Hi. If the ice maker does it all but completely dump out cubes then the internal ejector motor or circuit has failed. You need to replace the ice maker part # 5304458371.- This refrigerator replacement ice maker includes the cover, fill cup, bail arm and a four pin plug harness.
It will take up to 24hrs once the new one is in place for it to cool down enough and satisfy the cube tray thermostat and dump cubes. Thank You.
Ice ejector (white plastic piece with prongs) is loose on end toward front of freezer. Is there a way to snap it back in place?
Answer Hello Sandy,
If the tabs are not broken off, the ice maker can be removed from its' installation and dis-assembled. A few screws in the front will release the front and you can carefully loosen the two screws that attach the control head to the mold. The separator can be re-installed and the screws tightened back up. The screws can now be re-installed and the instructions are reverse for re-assembly. If you try to snap it back in, you will probably break it.
The icemaker won't turn the ice out into the ice holder. It looks like
a couple of the prongs are broken.
Answer Hello Judy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the icemaker 5304458371 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
