Answer Hello Jerry. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello David. Yes, a bad icemaker or a frozen fill tube will cause the issues you are having with the unit.

Answer Hello Robert. To remove the old icemaker, remove the bucket and turn off the power. Then remove the two screws securing the icemaker to the side wall of the freezer. Lift the icemaker out and unplug the wire going to the icemaker. Install the new icemaker 241798201 and make sure the fill tube is in the cup on the new icemaker.

Answer Joe, The water leaking into the ice bin may be caused by a deterioration of the ice mold which would require a new icemaker 241798201.

Answer Hello Tony. If you replaced the icemaker, and the unit does not bring in water, you will need to replace the water valve 218658000. Hope this helps.
