Hi! I have an old Tappan range TGF362BBBA that is not heating for the Bake cycle. When I press Preheat the broiler ignites for about 10 minutes, then goes off and the oven igniter turns yellowish orange, and then it emits a faint smell of gas. It hasn't been working correctly for a while now, but before I would just open the oven door and it would make a poof sound and then ignite. I also noticed that the broiler flame seems so big, not sure if that means anything or not. I just wasn't sure if I should just replace the oven igniter, or could it be something more expensive?? Thank you!!

Hi, I am currently building an oven by myself, and I want to know how much heat this igniter can stand. 1. Can the wire stand heat from the gas oven? 2. Can I just simply wire it to an AC adapter for it work? 3. If question 2 is yes, What is its recommended voltage and amp? 4. If question 2 is no, which model do I need to buy to plug it to the electricity?
