Answer Jeff, There are several things you need to check for your complaint. Check the front frame pivot for damage or being bent. check the door liner inner mounting brackets for distortion or damage, loose mounting screws, etc. Yes, the hinges are different colors, this is to distinguish which hinge goes on which side, but it is highly reccomended you replace both at the same time. And yes the plastic spring spacer does come with the hinge assembly.

Answer Hello Russ. Pull out the dishwasher and see if the door springs 154430501 are broke. If so, you can replace them and the hinges should be OK. Hope this helps.
