What part would I replace since the dryer constantly beeps even though the wet clothes were just placed in the dryer and it is the filter light that keep lighting up but the filter is empty.
Normally when the filter light is flashing and the unit is beeping would be caused by an air flow issue. If the unit senses that the air is not flowing properly then it will kick on the light. You will want to check the venting from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of the home to ensure that the vent is clear and there can be proper air flow.
Dryer does not heat. I removed the canister thinking there was a broken wire and I was going to have my daughter order a new element. The wires passed a continuity test on all terminals. The only other parts are the thermostat which passed a continuity test but the limiter did not. Is that the likely culprit for no heat.
Answer Hello Ron,
If the limiter is open the heating element will not be energized so you have located your issue. Be aware though, the limiter is normally opened because of an air flow issue caused by a restriction or clog in the exhaust duct, so you will need to verify the duct has a full 4 inch opening from the rear of the unit to the outside of the home.
