do I need an orifice for the oven too?
Answer Hello Jeff,
On most units, the "hood" is not replaced but backed out 1 1/2 to 2 turns out to adjust back to LP. You may still need to readjust the air shutter to adjust the orange tipping out of the flame.
How do I get the cook top up to change the orfices to lp gas ?
Answer Hello Mark. There is no need to raise the top of the unit to install the kit 318127414. You will need to remove the burner heads to install the kit. Disconnect the power and remove the grates and burner caps. You will see two screws in the top of the burner heads. Remove those screws and lift the burner heads off the cooktop. Once removed, you will use a nut driver and remove the orifices from the orifice holders. Once removed, you will install the correct LP gas orifices into the holders and adjust the oven. Make sure the regulator is flipped to work with LP gas.
