My left front burner was working fine in the morning and then at evening it would not heat. There is no scoring nor apparent breaks in the glass. What should I check? Also, where might I find the model number; I have looked at the oven door sides, in the bottom drawer with no success. It is a dark, silver speckled model with rear center simmer station.
Answer Hello Dennis,
The model number is normally on one of the front frame uprights behind the drawer panel. If you cannot locate it you may need to remove the drawer and look around in the drawer compartment under the unit. The units' I.D. tag will normally not be mounted where it is easily soiled so looking around the bake compartment door is normally not necessary but I have see the tag located where you have to look up toward the ceiling to see it.
Can you tell me the difficulty level on replacing the glass top? This item does not come instructions. Thank you!
Answer Hi Craig. With the power removed and the door, it is not too difficult. Just time consuming and common sense. Remove the top underside trim. Remove the front top lower corner screws and lift the top and support. Use a black felt marker to mark where the burner cross support brackets are mounted under the front and rear burner bracket assy. You need to make sure the burners are remounted-exactly centered so they are in the correct placement. Top is part # 316456253. Thank You.
