Not getting water from dispenser in door. How do I check to see if it is the valve or the module in the door? I am still getting ice. Thanks in advance.
Answer Hello Jeff. You will check for power to the water valve when you press the dispenser calling for water. If it is there, and no water, replace the valve. No power means the switch may be bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My problem is a sticking switch on Dispenser Module 242074211.
Your diagrams show two mounting screws for the assembly.
Could you tell me what parts are removed in what order to replace the Dispenser Module.
Thank you in advance.
Answer Hello Gabe,
To remove the Dispenser module you will have to remove the trim around the dispenser. It pops out of place being careful not to break it or scratch door using putty knife may be best option with something behind it to protect door. You would then remove the 2 screws holding the module in place.
