Try this. Remove the ice bin and put a hair dryer in there blowing on the back of the shelf that the crusher bin sits on. Let it heat it for at least 10 to 15 minutes. If this produces positive results, set the freezer a number warmer and look around the doors with an inspection mirror and a flashlight. If you find no air leaks around the door seals, shine the flashlight in toward the ice dispense door while looking at the ice door from the inside of the ice chute. If you can see light, you found the air leak and the ice door seal 241688601 will require replacement.
On the other hand, if you can hear the motor turning, the yoke or the motor shaft threads could be stripped. In this case, reach in and turn the yoke manually. If it spins on the shaft, the yoke 241726501 and the motor 241676201 will have to be replaced.
I installed new ice maker how long does it take to start making ice I can put the old one back in and it starts making right then

Answer Marvin, If the thermostat is in proper contact with the new mold assembly, it usually takes a couple of hours, at the least. The mold temperature has to drop below 14 dgrs.F. You may want to fill the ice maker mold with 4 oz. of water, or start a test mode by putting clockwise pressure on the main front gear, until the system takes over and it advances on it's own. Thanks
The ice maker is making no ice we changed the filter- but still no activity-is theirt something else I'm suppose to do or do I need a new ice maker?

If there is ice still in the ice maker, the ice maker 5303918344 has most likely failed. If the ice maker is empty and cycles periodically, the water inlet valve 242252702 has most likely failed.
