After running self clean cycle, the door will not unlock and the fan keeps running. Do we need to replace the latch motor or is the problem in the clock/timer/EOC panel?
Answer Hello Shaun,
The control 316418720 is the more likely of the two parts needed and the door lock assembly 318261230 is the other. The extreme heat, (900°F to 1100°F), produced during the self-clean cycle tends to damage the heat sensitive components on the control board. The door lock assembly is about as susceptible to the heat because of its' location on the unit.
I know you are tried of me asking questions, but just one more, I taped the two black leads together from the thermal switches. Oven still won't heat up. Thank you
Answer Hello James. If the elements, switches, and voltage is good on the unit, and the oven does not work, you will need to replace the clock 318010900 on the unit. Hope this helps.
