My grandmother has a small dishwasher that stopped pumping out the water not long after she bought it, but since it was small she decided not to get it fixed. I was wondering since the dishwasher still runs and washes fine the only thing is that it will not pump the water out it leaves it standing in the bottom. Also how hard would that be to replace if you have never worked on one before.
Answer Hello Dusty. You will need to disassemble the pump and make sure it is not clogged. Also check the drain hose and make sure it is not clogged. If both are clear, you will need to replace the pump/motor assembly 5304459468. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher, and remove the retaining clips from the bottom of the motor pump assembly. Then push the motor though the inside of the dishwasher. Remove the old parts from the pump/motor and install them onto the new one. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
