If I purchase this motor, will specific installation instructions come with it? In the answer to my last question, the technician indicated that I needed to get to the "back panel." Is this the very back of the range or the back side of the door? The latch is right behind the door which is confusing when compared to your answer about location of installation. Thanks.
Answer Hello Jeff,
The back panel is the panel that goes on the back side of the oven which covers the components which are mounted on the back side of the unit.If the door is locked, the motor that cycles the door lock assembly to the locked configuration is mounted to the back of the unit and is connected by a rod that actuates the mechanical lock at the front of the unit. The door lock mechanism 903025-9010 containing the lock motor and actuating switches is mounted on the back of the stove and cannot bee seen because the "main back" 5303310515 covers all of the components so the unit will not be an electrical shock or fire hazard. The parts explosion shows the best illistration I could find of the location of the door lock mechanism.
