I have the reversing rotaion Frigidare dryer, it makes a horrible grinding noise when it reverses! I have changed the belt and lubed the shafts for the belt pully's, to no avail, the ball bearing is new as well. The noise is coming from the motor area, is there a bearing in there that I should lube?....please help, those motors are very expensive! .David
Answer David, Sorry but, No, the motor bearings cannot be lubricated, they are set and sealed on the production line. Before you replce the motor, you do want to check the blower wheel , make sure its not loose on the motor shaft. Check the blower housing cover and spring Either of these components could make a noise similar to your description.
