My ice maker does not continue to turn the auger. It makes about an 1/8 of a turn and stops turning but continuing to make the same noise. It seems that something is stripped. I cannot tighten or loosen the nut on the shaft of the motor auger. Could this be my problem?

Try heating the auger motor with a hair dryer. These are bad to have condensation which freezes and seizes the motor. If this doesn't solve the issue, you will have to replace the auger motor 241676201. Also, be aware that the auger is left handed threads. In order to get it off, you have to rap on the wrench pretty hard to break the threads loose.
