There is a whining noise coming from what appears to be the pump assembly. It occurs when the dishawasher is filling or rinsing. I also noticed a small amount of leakage underneath the center of the washer. I was advised that it is probably the pump/motor assembly that needs to be replaced. Would a bad pump assembly cause the noise and the leakage problem or does it seem as though their is more than 1 issue?

This dishwasher will not drain. Have cleaned out trap. Was told by appliance personnel that it needed a control board. Replaced the board that appeared to have a burn spot on it with one you sent us. It still will not drain. Would you guess it needs a drain motor, a pump assembly, or what? Have ordered a pump assembly on wed. night @ 5:40 pm CDT. So, if you could answer tomorrow morning before it is sent, it would be appreciated in case we need a drain motor and not a pump assembly. Also, assuming we ordered the wrong part, what is your return policy?

This dishwasher is about 4 years old but used for 3 years lightly. After water filled, wash cycle starts, however, it makes continuous noise during wash cycle. there is no sign of leaks. It seems Washer drains OK but I am not 100% sure. I pulled out the motor ( Johnson DCJ72 (4)MLG, 120v, 60hz, P/N 154793001 ) and checked any blockage with debries, there was none. Motor and impeller looked OK. I put it back, hoping no more noise, disapointments. Please tell me your expert opinion and suggestions what to do. Motor or drain pump? If motor, what is replacement P/N. If drain, what P/N. It will be appreciated very much for your earliest reply. Thank you in advance. Kenneth Model #: FGHD2433KF

My dishwasher is leaking water. It does not leak during the run only after. It appears to be coming from the motor. It could be dripping down from the sump gasket except that I see no sign of any leak there. I have hesitated to remove the motor since it is held in place by what appears to be a spring loaded piece of steel (part 154595901). Is this truely spring loaded? Do I need any special tools to get this off and back on safely? My Motor is covered in a black foam case, I presume for sound deadening. The replacement motor kit does not seem to have the foam from the pictures. Nor is there a seperate part listing for it. Does the foam come with the motor kit or is mine removable so it can be reused? Thanks

Hello, My dishwasher started doing some noise but it worked well for a while. I cleaned up all the removable filters but it's still the same; it does not drain the water and keeps on making some unsual noise. Do I need to get a new motor kit? Thank you!

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher. It has been leaking quite excessively. I was able to pinpoint the problem area. It appears that there is water coming from the Johnson motor. The plastic part that is vented (looks like a drive shaft) leaks through the vent. I was able to remove the entire motor and it has the following information: Johnson DCJ72(4)MLG 120V 60Hz P/N:154719201 ID No. 1060N6505583 2.0A 120Watt Class B Any suggestions on how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated. I looked online at replacement part and noticed there is a replacement part that comes with two O-ring seals. When I removed my part, it only had one.
