I have the replacement part and now need to remove the old bottom panel, but a regular screwdriver is not working. What type of screwdriver, etc. do I need to remove the two back screws so that I can replace the bottom panel? Thanks

I'm able to loosen the screws at the back of the panel for replacement but not able to actually REMOVE the screws. They keep turning and won't come out. Thoughts please?

I am trying to replace the oven bottom panel (part no. 316505601). I was finally able to loosen the screws at the back of the panel. However, I can't remove the panel out from underneath the lip at the front of the oven. I have pulled it back and lifted it up as suggested in your answers. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Latest Questions

In the process of replacing the panel. oven bottom (part no. 316505601), are the screws at the rear of the panel to be only loosened, turned a certain number of degrees or completely removed? I have loosened them a few turns, but they will only turn a few turns and then no further. I did not want to break them off. If the screws do reverse all the way and can be removed from their holes, how is the panel then removed from its position?

I successfully replaced my bottom panel after the foil melted onto it, but when I replaced the two screws, I tightened one too much and the head actually broke off. Where can I buy the screws to replace it. I'm sure it's fine with just the one screw, but I'd like to get it back to how it used to be. Thanks!
