I would like to place my washing machine and dryer under a counter. They have been stacked. Do I need tops for both units or can I just place a counter top over them? Thank you!

Answer Hello Benita,
Normally every unit has it's own top even if it's been stacked. If this isn't the case, I do strongly recommend putting one on as this prevents items from being dropped into them. Keep in mind, the washer has 120Vac inside it plus it's carrying water. Remember, water and electricity don't get along. The dryer, unless it's a gas unit, carries 240Vac. While 120Vac can kill you, 240Vac can produce twice the current flow. The main tops are not necessary for normal operation, but at the same time, they are necessary for basic safety purposes.
I recently unstacked my washer from my dryer, a frigidaire (fse446rhs1). I wanted to put my top panel back on and I have the brackets(AP2107397) that holds the back down but how is the front end held down?

Answer Fred, the front end of the top washer panel is locked into place on tabs on the cabinet. When you install the top panel, you will start it flat about 3 to 4 inches back from the front control panel and slide it forward to lock the bottom lip into the tabs to hold the front down. Hope this helps you, thanks!
